The Nexstim Young Investigator Award provides €10 000 to support research related to diagnostic or therapeutic use of electric field navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation. Medical doctors, who are fellows or junior faculty (within 6 years of initial faculty appointment) at the time of application are eligible. Both translational and clinical projects are within the Award scope.
Applicants are asked to submit a biosketch, an abstract, a research proposal of a maximum of 3 pages, and a budget justification. A timeline must be provided. Since €10 000 is usually not sufficient for complete funding of a research project, additional support by the applicant’s department or other sources may be required. A letter by the applicant’s chairperson describing the department’s commitment to the applicant and their research must be included in the application. Award recipient(s) are expected to report on their progress after one year and at the end of their project.
