"NBS
with TMS would be invaluable for the evaluation of deep-seated motor cortices
and deviated unusual thin cortices because there is no indirect method other
than NBS for preoperative stimulation."
Helsinki, Finland - May 19, 2009 - Nexstim Oy, a medical
device company developing revolutionary brain diagnostics and therapy
technologie s, today announced the release of a DICOM export option for the new
Navigated Brain Stimulation (NBS) System. The NBS data export has been tested
and validated with the Medtronic StealthStation® cranial navigation
system.
"nTMS is a reliable method for non-invasive analysis of cortical
function before rolandic tumor surgery. Real-time visualization of the
induced electrical field increases the accuracy and reliability of the
method".
