Martin Jamieson has been CEO from April 2016. Following a marketing career in the pharmaceutical industry with Wyeth (Pfizer) and 3M, Martin joined Smith Medical - part of the FTSE 100 Smiths Group - as Director and Divisional Managing Director culminating in his final position - Managing Director Smiths Medical International. He was then appointed CEO of Rayner Group, a globally based ophthalmology company which developed the first intraocular lens. Martin has a number of Non-Executive Directorships with Light Point Medical Ltd, C-Major Ltd. and Schuco Ltd. Until December 2016 Martin was a NED at Medway NHS Hospital Foundation Trust where he was Senior Independent Director, Deputy Chair and formally Audit Chair. He also consults on international market development with Rocket Medical Plc.

Mikko Karvinen joined our team as CFO in August 2014. Previously he served as a financial analyst and CFO at various companies, to include Vaisala in their offices in Vantaa, Finland; Boston, Massachusetts; and Louisville, Colorado. He holds a Masters in Science with a major in Management Accounting from Helsinki School of Economics in Finland.

Steve Beller has extensive experience in the US neuro-stimulation market where he was most recently Area Vice-President at Abbott Neuromodulation, managing a team of over 170 people in the Western half of the US. Prior to this, Mr. Beller held Senior Director and Regional Sales Director roles at St Jude Medical Neuromodulation, before it was acquired by Abbott. He holds a BA in political science at Texas A&M University.

Henri Hannula has risen through the ranks holding key leadership positions since joining Nexstim in 2001. He assumed the role of Vice President, Sales Europe in 2013. Mr. Hannula has been vital in the growth of Nexstim, and has been published in multiple medical journals on navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation. A graduate from Turku Polytechnic in Finland, he also holds a Masters in Science from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland.

Gustaf Järnefelt has served as the Vice President, R&D since joining Nexstim in 2008. Prior to joining Nexstim, he spent 18 years with Instrumentarium then GE Healthcare serving several Manager, Director and General Manager roles in design, R&D, Engineering and Business Integration. He has spent more than 5 years abroad on assignment in the United States leading the Configured Patient Monitoring Business unit for Instrumentarium in Louisville Colorado. Mr. Järnefelt holds five patent families with multiple filings currently in process. He has an education background from both Karlsruhe Germany Universität TH Karlsruhe (Institut für Werkzeugmaschinen und Betriebstechnik) and Helsinki University of Technology and holds a Masters of Science from Helsinki University of Technology.

Hanna is an experienced international executive having previously held Group Corporate Counsel, Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel roles at Polar Electro Oy, Digita Oy and Nokia Oyj. She holds a Candidate of Laws degree from University of Helsinki, Finland and an International Business Management Master degree from  Arcada - University of Applied Sciences.

Jarmo Laine, M.D., brings an extensive background as a licensed physician, with specialties in pediatrics, R&D and laboratory services. He holds an M.D. and PhD from the University of Helsinki, Finland and an MBA from Helsinki University of Technology. Dr. Laine worked and trained throughout various hospitals in Finland and completed his post-doctoral research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining Nexstim in 2008, he held several leadership positions with the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service. Dr. Laine has over sixty publications in international journals in the fields of organ/cell transplantation, pediatric nephrology, cell biology and Navigated Brain Stimulation. In addition he holds three patents, with additional patents submitted in the field of stem cell therapies and navigated transcranial magnetic stimulation.
