We are now looking to hire a Software Designer

As a Software Designer you will be an essential member of Nexstim Helsinki R&D team. We offer you an inspiring working environment with an exquisite insight into a leading high end medical technology. Our technology is used for accurate and repeatable Neuromodulation of the human brain. We are looking for a developer who already has some experience in professional software development for commercial applications. You may be in the beginning of your career or already an experienced professional.

Specific duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing software for a medical application in Windows environment by using C++ / QT
  • Developing and designing graphical user interface by using QML
  • Implementing and developing software architecture
  • Producing software documentation that conforms to medical device regulation


  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience with C++
  • At least 1 year of development experience with QML or some other modern GUI development method
  • Familiar with multi-threaded programming
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Finnish

Additionally we appreciate:

  • Masters level education in applicable field
  • Familiarity with software development in regulated environment
  • Familiarity of OpenGL and MFC
  • Familiarity with MRI, DICOM, PACS and HIPAA

We are now seeking to Germany an

As our new team member you will be responsible for development, maintenance, sharing and training of clinical application, clinical protocols and best-use practices of the Nexstim devices. You will provide expertise and support to our external partners and work in close contact with Nexstim R&D. The position will be home-office based and requires frequent travel to customer and demonstration sites, also outside Germany.

As an Application Consultant your duties also include (but are not limited to):
• Assisting Sales and Marketing in the use of Nexstim devices in customer demonstrations
• Developing customer training material and providing training for new customers
• Supporting customers in solving problems encountered during use of Nexstim devices
• Gathering and providing clinical, usability and customer input for R&D projects
• Assisting R&D projects in validation testing planning, execution and reporting

We expect you to have:
• Demonstrated experience and/or capability to carry out the specific duties of Application Specialist
• Demonstrated ability to work in a project oriented matrix organization (Global or European (D/A/CH) level experience preferred)
• 3 years experience in a related fields / disciplines
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical engineering/ Health care or equivalen (Masters Degree preferred)

We hope you are a known to be self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able
to multi-task. You work fluently in German as well as in English and have excellent
teamwork and coordination skills. You are familiar with clinical or hospital
environment with knowledge of neurosurgery, neuroscience and/or
neurorehabititation. You are experienced public speaker with technical/IT affinity
to deal with patient data (MRI scan etc.)
