This video describes a case of a patient with a tumor in the central region of the left brain hemisphere, causing paresis of the right arm and leg. The patient was mapped with Navigated Brain Stimulation to find the areas of the brain responsible for arm and leg movement. The results enabled to plan for and perform surgery taking out as much as possible of the tumor tissue, while preserving the vital motor functions. The functional tracts in the brain were unharmed by the surgery.
