Neurosurgery: Tumor resection
Department of Neurosurgery, Oita Medical University, Japan
A 61-year-old patient who had no history of prior motor disturbance developed proprioceptive and motor impairment of the right hand in 2 months. MRI of the brain showed a 4 cm homogenous tumor with oedema.

An NBS Ssytem was successfully used to locate the motor cortex partially overlapping the tumor. The result was confirmed by direct cortical stimulation during surgery. The tumor was resected with a good patient outcome.
